I’m not one to write reviews, but in this instance, I must. We simply could not have asked for a better experience in the home buying process, and we have Lynne to thank for that. Our little family had taken our time in deciding to dive back into the real estate market, so our list for our “forever” home was a tall one: brand new, large yard, excellent schools, a very specific aesthetic, etc. etc. And Lynne delivered on all of the above — and then some. During our home search, she spent weekends driving around with us…sharing nuances about neighborhoods, cautioning us about things to avoid, giving us the rundown on all the plusses and minuses of specific schools, and naming each home we saw with our little boys so that we could remember one from the next. And when we found the home that we were quite certain was the one, she became our tireless champion. She battled for us on pricing, brought in a meticulous inspector, dealt with issues between builder/neighbor/city, made herself available day and night for questions and updates, and worked with the seller’s agent and our lender to ensure that we closed on time (within 30 days). And as I write this (2 weeks after close) she is facilitating the completion of our after-move-in punch list (all those little things you can only catch when really living in a home). In short: we adore her. And needless to say, would recommend her to anyone even thinking about buying or selling a home. As would my boys, who now affectionately refer to her as Auntie Lynne.

The staging was great and the process was really smooth. She’s very attentive and responsive and her energy was fantastic.
That was in fact the most commonly spoken sentence in my family during the mere month it took her to get my house ready to sell, put it on the market, field five offers and manage a bidding war, with the end result of the house selling for a quarter of a million dollars above its asking price. She got bids for painting, selected colors, met the painters and all other workers to let them in and supervise, brought in a great handyman, staged the whole house herself so it was absolutely beautiful, kept in constant communication with me about the details so nothing slipped through the cracks, and much more. I could not have asked for a better experience than I had with Lynne Lear. Our house was not the easiest to sell nor the most expensive, but she jumped in with guns blazing and did everything she had to to get it sold and for a price we were more than happy with. Lynne is the rare kind of RE salesperson who genuinely loves what she does and lives by the motto “think outside the box!”. She came up with fantastic solutions to problems–financial and emotional–that arose and did it calmly and with humor. Most important, she is the most ethical person I know. Lynne helped us buy a new house and sell our old house. The short review is that we recommend her to everyone.
On the new house, we weren’t exactly ideal clients- we gave her some tough requirements and my wife and I didn’t always agree on what we wanted. (I didn’t even want to move so I was less-than-cheery) In spite of that, she found us a great deal that was exactly what we asked for. Unfortunately, it was clear that there would be multiple offers. Lynne figured out what our offer should be and handled the negotiation flawlessly. After the offer was accepted, she handled everything to get escrow closed (inspection scheduling, etc.). I did not expect this follow through but it made our lives much easier.
We did things a little out of order and bought a new house before selling the old one. Needless to say, we were in a hurry to unload our old house which happened to be located in a market with too much inventory. Lynne did a great job of generating traffic and getting it sold. We ended up beating the average time-on-market for the area and feel like we got a good deal.
One final thing is that she has her phone with her everywhere. There was not a time that we couldn’t reach her for questions or help. Given the stress of buying and selling a home, it was great to have constant access when we needed it.
